The 30th Scottish International Patrol Jamborette was held at Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland.
Scottish Staff arrived on Saturday 15th July, Scottish Scouts arrive Monday 17th and Overseas Contingents arriving at camp on Tuesday 18th July. All scouts departed on Friday 28th July, all Staff left on Saturday 29th July. The Scottish Scouts and staff wer offered home hospitality after the camp up to Wednesday 2nd August.
The camp was open only to Scouts over 13 years of age and under 18th years of age on 28th July 2006.
A Patrol consisted of not more than than 6 Scouts, including the Patrol Leader. The Scouts can be composed of Scouts from a single Troop, or from several troops. Patrols which include female Scouts are welcome and will be fully integrated into the Camp. An Association may send more than one Patrol. In this case Patrols may form a national contingent or they may travel independently. Each Patrol camped with a Scottish Patrol. A Scottish and an overseas patrol operated as one unit. The Scottish Patrol will provide tents and cooking equipment for both patrols. Cooking is done in patrols over wood fires. Dining shelters will be constructed in each patrol site with pioneering timber.
There was an exciting programme of Scouting Activities. For activities see Activities at Blair Atholl. And of course a real opportunity to make new friends.
For Scouts from out with Scotland, only personal camp equipment is required.
Other camping equipment was provided by the Scottish Patrol who receiveed a detailed kit list in due course from their local Blair Atholl representative.
The Camp Fee is set at £160 for Scottish Participants in 2006.
The Camp Fee is set as GBP 200 for overseas participants (plus the cost of any bank charges) in 2006.
The Fee includes all food, activities, camp badge and neckerchief. For Scouts from out with Scotland it also covers additional travel costs within Scotland to and from a central meeting point, overnight stays at Scout halls on arrival and before final departure as required to meet your individual needs.
Any additional costs for participation in Home Hospitality will be covered by the overseas camp fees.
See the Application / Administration Page Link at bottom of the page for payment details.
Transport was provided to the Jamborette from Edinburgh or Glasgow (or Aberdeen for Norwegian or Swedish Scouts only) on Tuesday 18th July after an optional overnight stay in a scout hall.
There are a large number of Scottish Staff supporting the event.
The number of overseas adult leaders with each patrol should be limited to the minimum number necessary to supervise the travel. Overseas Leaders will not camp with their Patrols, but will be integrated into the camp staff. Overseas leaders will be expected to work as part of the overall staff team. There is a free staff "cafe" available to chill out with friends after work.
Check out the Activities of activities on this website. It shows all the activities on offer for the 2006 camp and scouts attending had therefore an idea of their activity choices BEFORE even arriving at camp.

Austria (2), Bulgaria, Canada (4), Denmark, Germany, Gibraltar,
Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway (2), Poland, Russia,
