The Kross! - What is that?

The Kross is the social centre of the Jamborette and is named from the shape that it forms.

It houses all the normal facilities of a small village, the Kross Kafe, Kross Kurrency, Korresondence, Kross Kasbah and Kross Kurrents as well as a meeting hall, theatre and Kinema

• The Kafe has a plentiful supply of drinks, sweets and fruit for sale.
• Kross Kurrency is the banking facility for the village, and provides a full bank service.
• Korrespondence, the Post Office, is adjacent to the bank and provides full postal services with collections twice aday with the exceptions of the week-end. Incoming mail is delivered to the sub camps each day.
• Kross Kurrents is the local daily newspaper for the village, produced by the villagers themselves. The newspaper staff are always on the hunt for kamp news from the sub camps and they welcome correspondents from the 6 sub camps to assist them in seeking out those stories.

The shopping centre is open 6 hours a day on weekdays, spread across 4 sessions to suite the free time that people have between activities.

Whats Happening at the Kross

Wednesday 17th July

Tonight the Kross Kaper takes place - this is a Disco.

Thursday 18th July

There will be a film shown in the Kross Kinema this evening - Shrek.

Friday 19th July

Tonight the International Show Case takes place in the Theatre. This is an opportunity for all the talent people in camp to entertain the gathering.

Sunday 21st July

A Ceilidh

Monday 22nd July

Film in the Kinema - Simpson's on Film at 7pm followed by a Disco - 8.15pm - 10pm

Tuesday 23rd July

Karekoe - 8pm till 10pm

There will also be a Badge Swapping Klub meeting on both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
